Living Sustainably at Veggera
ย Our Zero-Waste Philosophy
Veggera embraces sustainability as a way of life through a zero-waste philosophy that respects Cretan traditions, the land, and its animals. Leftover food from cooking classes is fed to livestock, ensuring nothing edible is discarded. Even mizithra cheese remnants provide protein for animals. Recycling is a priority, and organic waste is either composted or fed to chickens, enriching the farm’s soil and supporting its garden. Animals are nurtured with organic greens from the land, ensuring quality produce. Veggeraโs commitment to reducing its ecological footprint offers visitors a meaningful, eco-friendly experience.
